Outstanding results have been announced for the Upper Sixth girls who have just completed their five term Leiths Introductory Certificate in Food and Wine…
All students passed the course and the practical and theory examinations, with the majority of girls achieving a merit or distinction.
This highly regarded industry qualification from Leiths School of Food and Wine, included learning techniques such as knife skills, meat, fish and vegetable preparation, baking, sweet and savoury sauce preparation, as well as practical tasks such as time management, menu planning, matching wine with food and the basic theory needed to understand high level cooking.
Leiths Teacher, Susan Larkin said,
I am delighted with the girls’ achievements, it is proof of their dedication and hard work. My congratulations go to all of the girls.
